Wedding Favors For my Sister

My baby sister will be getting married in a few days time! Hmmm...not a baby any more but she will always be our family's little girl ;)

I made these little pink coloured, rose geranium scented goat's milk soaps for her as my wedding gift to her and her husband.

Since I am using some fast tracing ingredients, the only way to successfully make these soaps is by using the Hot Process Soapmaking method.

On the first day, I cooked the soap, added in a dash of pink colour and the Rose Geranium essential oil, mixed everything well, made sure its at the right consistency before scooping the soap batter into individual bear mould cavity. After the soap has cooled down, I removed it from the soap mould and put the soaps in a basket to let it air dry.

On the second day, when the soap is slightly harden and dried, I use a soap shaver and a little knife to smoothen and touch up each soap.

These little soaps are now safely packed into a box and put into a luggage bag, be taken with me when I fly over to Sydney tomorrow night.

I do hope my little sister and her husband's guests will enjoy using these soaps.

I am glad to be able to spend some time with my family today.

This year end has been particularly busy so we were not able to go away for a family holiday like usual.

We went to Sunway Pyramid shopping center to have a look at the Christmas decorations and to take some pictures. Bought some stuffs and indulged in some unhealthy snacks...hahaha! Just once in a while will be ok.....

After today's recharging...will be ready to teach another soap pattisserie workshop tomorrow!

Christmas Theme Snow Globes

Christmas theme snow globes fully made using soap!

There are so many tiny and fine details that it took me more than 6 hours to complete them.

The christmas tree with the ornaments was quite challenging to put together and needed steady hands to stick the tiny ornaments...measuring on average 0.5cm each...onto each of the tree branches.

The gingerbread house's roof, windows and door frames were all cut out by hand.

The round 'glass domes' took many tries to get it right.
